Pulaski AgriGrow Head Start

The Pulaski AgriGrow Head Start Program serves infants, toddlers and children with disabilities of migrant families in a developmentally and culturally appropriate learning environment.

LCCAA participates in the Kentucky AgriGrow Head Start Network.  Pulaski’s AgriGrow Head Start Program will serve 32 participants in Pulaski and Russell counties with a seasonal, full-day center-based program. The program provides comprehensive, holistic, and inclusive services including medical, dental, mental health, nutrition, and education, as well as a practical Partnering with First Steps. The program has an intensive approach to work WITH parents to improve migrant family, and child health, education and development.

Eligibility

Income-eligible families include infants and toddlers between the ages of zero and five years of age, typically and with disabilities; 50% of the family income must be from work in agriculture and the family must have moved once within the last twenty-four (24) months.

This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

Migrant & Seasonal Head Start (MSHS) is a federally funded program which provides comprehensive Head Start services, including child development/school readiness, social and health (including nutrition, oral health and mental wellness) services to low income families working in agriculture, or families who migrate for the purpose of working in agriculture.
